Mr. Mark Pettingill is a prominent lawyer in the community having been a Crown Counsel, Defense Attorney and Acting Magistrate since being called to the Bar in 1991. In 1999, Mark has his first taste of politics, when he was appointed as Senator and Justice of the Peace. He was raised by his mother and grandmother in Ord Road, Warwick.

His educational background started with him attending Gilbert Institute and then Warwick Academy where he was named Head Boy in his final year. Then he earned his BA and then a B.Ed from Mount Allison University in 1987. Mark then travelled to London, England to attend law school at Grays Inn.

He is a partner of the law firm Charter Chambers Bermuda. Despite a busy schedule as the Attorney General and father of three, (Zach, Sophie, and Holden) Mark does enjoy the quiet life. He lives by the sea in Devonshire with his partner Erin, practices yoga every day, is a keen book worm, keeps a wine cellar and loves to make a ‘mean’ meal using produce from his vegetable garden. Outside of the home, Mark can be found on the football pitch playing for Robin Hood or practicing his black belt Karate moves when not playing the guitar.
